This Park was established in 1952 as Kazinga National park and was renamed in 1954 to honor a visit by Queen Elizabeth II. The park’s creation involved combining the Lake George and Lake Edward game reserves.
This park is a 03days trip which covers the hotsprings at Kabalega, spotting the climbing lions and leopards at Ishasha.
ACTIVITIES AT THIS PARK
Game drive especially the tree climbing lions in Ishasha, boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel, bird watching and chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Visitors can also go on guided nature walks, explore the Maramagambo forest, observe traditional salt mining at Lake Katwe.
